John Eynon, public school teacher and education professional, is running for Superintendent of Public Instruction, because he is opposed to our children being taught to the unproven standards envisioned by Common Core.
"Listening to the voices of parents and teachers!"
The implementation of Idaho Core Standards plays into the over-reach of federal control into Idaho's education. Local school boards, teachers, and parents know what is best in the education of their children. This point of view needs representation in Boise.
Idaho must re-engage in the work of the Idaho State Standards. Specifically, we must achieve a world-class education for Idaho's children by building upon several areas in the State Standards and using a development process that is Idaho-focused.
